Captain

The highest-ranking officer on the ship. Like the various categories of the ships, there are many categories of captains; one thing is that the captain is the highest-ranking officer of the crew, and that never changes. Keep in mind that if you rent a boat with a crew, the captain will have the final say on all matters relating to the ship.

The captain’s role is to drive the boat, ensure that everything on board is running smoothly, and handle all the paperwork required. You’re still supposed to discuss the route with him, but you’re sure to follow the captain if there’s any danger or bad weather.

Each work on the ship is divided between the crew, but the captain does no manual labor. The captain is also sailing the yacht and advising on the route.

The captain appointed to Yachtco shall be qualified professionals who, depending on the vessel and the sailing area leased, have all the requisite licenses.

Sailors

Sailor is the leading crew member on a big yacht. Since the captain is responsible for taking care of all the paperwork and even operating the yacht, the sailor is a person who performs manual labor such as cleaning the deck, keeping the yacht in good order, and docking, refueling, etc.

Besides, the sailor carries out the captain’s orders and assists in the navigation of the yacht. The sailor is responsible for the vessel’s appearance and the proper operation of the relevant equipment. As a result, ensuring passengers’ safety and the yacht is the responsibility of all crew members. The sailor assumes the guard’s post if there are no guards on board. Therefore if you encounter any problems on board or with the yacht, the sailor is the one you turn, although this is unlikely to happen.

Security guards

The security guard is not always the main crew member, but they are readily available upon your request. Since its job is to ensure tourists, ships, personnel safety, the security guard’s role is obvious. This is most important when anchoring in islands or marinas where many men or someone are trying to enter the yacht out of curiosity and without any wrong intentions. While these cases are very remote, some clients and guests do not feel relaxed and safe without the presence of a security guard.

While such worries are unreasonable to most clients, to wealthy individuals and celebrities, taking care of your property and family is all right to have protection. There is minimal risk of anyone trespassing on your yacht because there’s a crew member on board at all times.

Skippers

The skipper is responsible for the sailing of the yacht. He also performs other duties, such as making smaller sail repairs, fixing the boat and transferring the vessel between charters from one marina to another, performing paperwork in marinas, and so on when there is no other crew on board. It ensures guest wellbeing, provides other helpful advice when sailing, and points out fun places to visit or things to do. He answers questions regarding the yacht and shows you some things to navigate the boat.

Skippers spend a lot of time on the ships, and there’s still a lot to do onboard. The skippers are highly competent and value the privacy of the client. Skippers at Yachtco will bring all the fun and make sure you spend a peaceful and happy sailing holiday.

Hostess

Hostesses are mainly responsible for cleaning and washing the vessel. We are all responsible for cooking food unless there is a chef on board. There is quite a lot of work to be done on the yacht to ensure that everything is in order and that every task is properly distributed among the crew members. So the hostess’s role varies depending on whether she is on board or alone with other crew members.

Yachtco provides a hostess responsible for keeping the yacht smooth and dry, shopping and cooking grocery stores, and so on when you hire a hostess. The hostess and the skipper will take care of everything while a skipper is on board to ensure that the guest has a fun and memorable time onboard. In general, she is not responsible for grocery shopping or any other physical activity if she is part of the full team.

Our hostesses are highly informed and well qualified regarding recent events. To ensure that visitors have a fun sailing holiday, they also communicate with guests to answer questions and explain local rules and traditions.

Cooks

The job of a cook is relatively easy. He prepares food and takes care of food products and beverages. It’s certainly a good meal that makes you feel better about it. Cooks are professionals who have been educated and are very good at their work. Many local and international dishes are prepared to make these guests have a belly full of fun. We prepare meals to meet the needs of our guests.

To prevent any health hazards, you can consult them about the food you like and the stuff you don’t want or are allergic to.

The cook shall be responsible for providing the necessary food and food supplies to the yacht. You would even want to recruit a chef as a guest to charter a large yacht.
